A more personal kind of DJ service
If you've landed here after hearing my name from a venue, another wedding supplier, a friend, or through older DJ4You Christchurch reviews, welcome. I'm Vito, the founder of Motiv Entertainment.
I started Motiv because I wanted couples to have a more personal connection with the person looking after their music. You'd want to know who your DJ is, feel comfortable talking to them, and trust that they understand the sort of celebration you're after.
I'm also a current Christchurch club DJ. Playing regularly keeps me close to new music and sharpens the skills that matter at weddings and private events: reading the crowd, mixing well and knowing when people are ready for the next move.
Built around your wedding, not a standard playlist
Before the day, our planning process gives you plenty of room to share the music you love, the songs you'd rather avoid and how you want requests handled. It gives me the detail I need without turning your wedding into homework.
On the night, the plan is there as a guide, but I'm always watching what people are responding to. Every wedding is different. I notice what's working, keep the music moving naturally, and build a dance floor nobody wants to leave.
Some couples book me personally, while others choose one of the Christchurch DJs I work with through Motiv Entertainment. Either way, the same planning, support and care sit behind the booking, whether your wedding is in Christchurch, elsewhere in Canterbury or further afield.
