After years of DJ'ing, what I've learned is that being a great DJ isn’t about experience or gear alone ... it's not even about being the most technically skilled DJ. It’s about listening to you, the client and understanding your vision - creating the celebration you’ve imagined. I'm a firm believer in the saying:

Kia ora, I’m Vito (he/him), the owner and lead wedding DJ and MC behind Motiv Entertainment, based in Christchurch and performing across Canterbury and the wider South Island.
In the local nightclub scene, I’m known as DJ Motiv, where I continue to DJ regularly in Christchurch clubs. That club background shapes how I approach events, not by turning them into clubs, but by understanding how to read a room, build energy naturally, and create dance floors that feel effortless and fun for everyone.
I personally DJ the majority of weddings and events booked through Motiv Entertainment. When people enquire, they’re speaking with me, and when I’m booked, I’m the one behind the decks on the night.
Over the years, I’ve worked at hundreds of weddings and events throughout Christchurch, Canterbury, Queenstown, Nelson, overseas and beyond. I’m trusted not just for the music, but for professionalism, communication, timing, flow, and knowing when to lift the room and when to let moments breathe.
