While I'm the lead DJ (Vito) and the main face of Motiv Entertainment, if I'm not personally available on your date, I have a small number of experienced Christchurch DJs who share the same standards and approach that I do. That means more couples and people can be looked after, without losing the personal feel that Motiv Entertainment was built on.
Each of us comes from a strong musical background, with years of experience at weddings, private events, corporate functions and some of Canterbury’s most well known nightclubs. While we each have our own style, we share the same focus on detail, energy and creating dance floors that bring everyone together - with a commitment to good sound that is always visually presentable as well.

Nancy - DJ / KJ (Karaoke)Nancy comes from a strong musical background and has years of experience in the entertainment scene. Her time as a singer gives her a natural feel for music and for connecting with a crowd. She loves getting to know her couples and their music tastes. Her bubbly personality brings warmth, energy and positivity to every event. Recently Nancy performed at Canterbury’s largest silent disco, entertaining more than a thousand people and leading a huge Whitney Houston singalong.
Dwight - DJ / VJ (Video)If you’ve danced in Christchurch, you may have danced to Dwight. A well-known DJ in the local scene, he has played venues including The Chancery, Palladium and Casa Publica, and still performs at clubs and bars on The Terrace such as Little Fiddle and Zodiac. With years of experience at weddings, parties and corporate events, Dwight knows how to read a room and keep people dancing. As part of the Motiv Entertainment team, he brings energy, experience and optional video DJ sets for celebrations that want something extra.

We work with some of the best and most talented saxophonists in Canterbury. Their live performances add a unique, vibrant sound to any event in Christchurch. From smooth background tunes to lively dance numbers, their energy helps create an unforgettable atmosphere for private parties and corporate celebrations.
Alex BootAlex is a young and hugely talented saxophonist who has performed as a soloist with the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra. He moves easily between jazz, pop, house and more, bringing an energetic and engaging style to every event. Alex can perform for ceremony, canapés and dinner, or alongside one of our DJs to elevate the dance floor. When the party kicks in, don’t be surprised to see him out on the dance floor with the sax.
Michael GordonMichael is one of the country’s leading saxophonists with a strong jazz background and a modern performance style. He is a graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in Jazz Performance. Blending live saxophone with high-quality backing tracks, he brings great energy to weddings and events. Michael can perform alongside one of our DJs to elevate the dance floor or as a solo performer during cocktails and dinner. From relaxed vibes to upbeat moments, he enhances the atmosphere while keeping the celebration flowing.
