Vito is the lead DJ and main face of Motiv Entertainment, supported by talented Christchurch wedding DJs Nancy and Dwight, ensuring the same high standard of service across Christchurch and Canterbury. All three come from strong musical backgrounds, with years of experience entertaining guests at weddings, private events, corporate functions, and some of Canterbury’s most iconic nightclubs.

Music has always been part of Vito’s life — from learning instruments like keyboard, guitar, drums, and trumpet, to becoming a DJ and radio announcer.
A well-known Christchurch DJ, he’s performed at top venues across New Zealand and Australia, alongside local favourites like Richey’s, Cotton Club, and Baretta and you’ll still find him playing on The Terrace at Delilah and Amazonita.
These days, weddings and corporate events are where Vito really shines. Known for his relaxed, professional approach and attention to detail, he helps couples and clients create celebrations that truly reflect them.
Recognised as one of Canterbury’s most versatile open-format DJs, Vito brings energy, experience, and genuine care to every dance floor.
Like Vito, Nancy comes from a musical background and has been part of the entertainment scene for years. Her experience as a singer gives her not just a deep love of music, but a real feel for how to connect with a crowd — which is why she’s such a hit wherever she performs.
Nancy shines when she gets to know her couples and their music tastes. With her bubbly personality and people-first approach, she brings genuine warmth, energy and positivity to every event — both in the planning and on the dance floor.
Recently, Nancy took centre stage at Canterbury’s largest silent disco, playing to over a thousand people and having the crowd singing their hearts out to Whitney Houston on her green channel — a night to remember!
If you’ve hit a dance floor in Christchurch, you’ve probably danced to Dwight. A well-known name in the local music scene and a Christchurch DJ legend, Dwight has played at some of the city’s favourite spots — from The Chancery and Palladium to Casa Publica, and Dwight can still be found playing a variety of Clubs and Bars on the Terrace such as Little Fiddle and Zodiac.
With years of experience at weddings, parties and corporate events, he knows how to read the room and keep people dancing with a perfect mix of classics and new hits.
Now part of the Motiv Entertainment crew, Dwight brings his trademark energy, experience and passion for great music to every celebration plus video DJ sets for those who want an extra touch of wow.
Alex is a young but hugely talented saxophonist with an incredible musical resume that includes performing as a soloist as part of the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra.
With diverse flexibility to traverse jazz, pop, house and many other genres - Alex has an energetic and engaging style that is great as either a soloist for ceremony, canapes or dinner - or playing alongside one of our DJ's to create epic vibes.
If you do book him for your dance floor - don't be surprised to find him actually on it together with his sax.
Michael is a one of the country's best saxophonists with a strong jazz foundation and a modern approach to live performance. A graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in Jazz Performance, Michael combines high-level musicianship with an easygoing, confident presence that works perfectly in wedding and event settings.
His performances blend live saxophone with high-quality backing tracks as an energy boost for your event and dance-floor alongside one of our DJs or simply having him bring the vibes as a solo performer. From relaxed cocktail vibes through to upbeat, feel-good moments, Michael knows how to enhance the atmosphere without overpowering it
