While I'm the the main person behind Motiv Entertainment (Vito), demand means I'm often booked out most Summer seasons and unavailable as a Christchurch, Canterbury DJ during that time, so Nancy works alongside me to deliver an equal level of service to make your music memorable.

Both Vito and Nancy are musicians by background with significant years playing in bands - who each work for all kinds of events including Christchurch, Canterbury DJs.

Nancy also offers Karaoke services, which would be a fairly unique way to celebrate your wedding if you wanted.

Rest assured though, regardless of which of us you have, you'll get access to the same commitment to creating epic dance-floors for your celebration.

Learning to play instruments from a young age (keyboard, guitar, drums and trumpet), Vito always had music feature in his life, so it was no surprise that he became a DJ from a young age - and went on to work in broadcasting / radio as a radio announcer.

Predominantly DJing nightclubs and bars across New Zealand and in Australia, Vito helped DJ4You get a solid footing in Canterbury, before re-establishing Motiv Entertainment again.

Like Vito, Nancy is a musician by background who has been around the entertainment scene for a number of years.

Nancy's singing background gives her a solid foundation of music knowledge, but also an understanding of performing for a crowd - making her incredibly popular at every event she performs at.

We were all so happy with Nancy, she got a feel for her guests and their tastes in music and then it didn't take Ing until the dance floor was packed with everyone singing and dancing and having a fantastic time. Nancy was really easy to get along with and friendly, nothing at all was a problem for her and she went above and beyond! We will definitely recommend you to everyone we know, thanks so much again for being a part of our celebrations.

Nancy was absolutely incredible!! I cannot rate her high enough. Our wedding was absolutely beautiful. Nancy was thoughtful, attentive and genuine, she was calm cool and made me feel at ease the whole day. Her communication leading up to the wedding was fantastic and came back to me on every email and messages promptly. Her music selection was amazing and I will be hiring Nancy again for all of our future events. Even when the dance floor went a little quiet, you made sure to accommodate not only Ants and l, but also the crowd and was sure to get the right mix of the both to get everyone on their feet. Thank you Nancy, you are fabulous! Can we get married again, I had a blast!

Vito is an absolutely brilliant DJ! The dance floor was packed all night long, so many great hits and all our guests had such a blast - we had so many compliments about Vito from guests after the wedding. Vito was super easy to deal with during the whole process, really responsive and happy to answer any questions we had. Highly, highly recommend if you want a great DJ who knows how to keep the party going!

We had Vito for our wedding in March 2025. We had never been to an event with a DJ before but had heard they are either great or they ruin the night. We got a referral for Vito from a family member so reached out. Instantly his communication was so friendly! He put me at ease just by how kind he was and the feeling like he was just as excited for our wedding as we were! We booked him the first chance we had. While waiting for our big day, coincidence had friends of ours using him for different events and completely raving about him. This got me even more excited! Long story short, he was GREAT!!! I’m so glad we took the chance as we were not disappointed. From ceremony to drunk dancing at the end of the night, he has it all covered with great songs we all loved. The process from start to finish so easy. I cannot wait until we need a DJ again as will absolutely be booking Vito without hesitation.

Couldn’t have asked for a better DJ for our Wedding celebration! Vito read the room well and we got so many compliments on the music. Everyone was up dancing right until the very end. Highly recommend!!
