Peak wedding season runs October through April, and those dates fill fast. Nine months or more is what we'd suggest - ideally even earlier. Personally, I like to have things locked in 12 months or more out. Midweek and winter weddings can usually be sorted with a few months' notice. Either way, a quick date check costs nothing, so ask early.

Yes - we cover all of Canterbury and beyond, including Akaroa, Methven, Hanmer Springs, Timaru and the Mackenzie. We're happy to travel elsewhere in New Zealand, or even overseas, by arrangement. The first 100km of return travel from our Christchurch base is included; beyond that there's a small per-kilometre charge, which our online estimator calculates automatically from your venue address.

Absolutely. Some couples hand over a full playlist, others give us a handful of must-plays and a "please never play" list and let us read the room. Both work. Once you're booked, you'll get access to our planning app - it walks you through your likes, dislikes, must-plays and do-not-plays so we can shape the music around you. We'll talk through the vibe before the day so the music sounds like you, not like a generic wedding mix.

Yes, and we love them - requests are often what turns a good night into a great one. We ask about this in the planning app, and it's completely up to you how we approach requests on the night. If you've banned a song, it stays banned, no matter who asks.

We carry backup for every critical piece of gear - mixer, players, laptop, microphones and cables. In the unlikely event something dies mid-set, the swap takes moments and the dancefloor barely notices. We're also fully insured.

Yes. Professional MC services are available as an add-on - introductions, speeches, announcements and keeping the night running to time, all in a relaxed style that doesn't steal the show. You can add it in the online estimator to see it priced in.

Yes - a live sax player over the DJ set is one of our most popular add-ons and always lifts the dancefloor. Choose it in the estimator and it'll show up in your quote straight away.

A standard setup needs roughly 3m x 2m and one ordinary power socket. We bring everything else - speakers, lighting, decks, microphone and all cabling. Setup timing depends on the package you choose - some include an early setup so everything's ready well before your guests arrive, while others are set up closer to the start. We'll let you know what's included in your quote, and we'll liase with your venue directly if you'd like.

If I'm already booked on your date, I'll let you know straight away - and if you'd like, I can recommend a trusted DJ from my network who I know will look after you. Either way, it's worth checking early, because peak season dates go quickly.
